In September 2024, a company in Xinjiang successfully purchased and received delivery of a LW1100 horizontal spiral discharge settling centrifuge from Tianjin Borekang Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd. Installation and commissioning were completed in November 2024, and it officially went into operation in December 2024.
The LW1100 centrifuge is currently the largest model of horizontal spiral discharge settling centrifuge in China for processing polyvinyl chloride materials. Tianjin Borekang independently designed and manufactured this machine domestically as early as 2009, and it was identified as a high-quality domestic product by the Tianjin Science and Technology Commission. After more than ten years of market testing, it remains a suitable choice for high-throughput product lines.
For a product that has withstood the test of the market, the R&D process must have been fraught with challenges. More than a decade ago, at the beginning of this machine's development, imported equipment imposed a complete technological blockade on us. Everything, from blueprint dimensions to core technologies, had to be started from scratch. Borekang rose to the challenge, standing at the entrance of a huge maze, struggling to find a way out. Just as the equipment was nearing completion and undergoing testing, another technical bottleneck was encountered: the material feed was not smooth. Technical personnel tried various methods and repeatedly searched for the cause, but could not find a complete solution, and the R&D process stalled. A senior technical expert at Borekang keenly realized that a detail was the problem. After careful examination and repeated consideration, it was discovered that the original imported model had a vent hole under the machine casing, which we had omitted. During high-speed operation, the machine generated a large amount of wind and heat, creating negative pressure. This seemingly insignificant and technically simple hole discharged this wind and heat, allowing the machine to operate normally. After correction, the test run was finally successful.
The allure of R&D lies in overcoming challenges and achieving success. This seemingly insignificant hole is like some low-cost suppliers in the current market who do not possess core technologies. Many pieces of equipment may look similar but lack the essential functionality. However, a horizontal spiral discharge settling centrifuge is a whole, a large and complex system structure; simply looking similar cannot achieve the same level as the original machine. It requires extensive experience in overall machine performance, meeting various technical indicators, and operational stability.
Since producing the LW1100 centrifuge in 2009, Tianjin Borekang Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd. has produced more than 20 units, with 17 currently in operation. The Xinjiang branch that recently adopted the equipment has 5 units in operation. As a manufacturing company, in addition to strictly controlling product quality, Borekang always prioritizes "technical research and development and technological advancement." Borekang continuously strengthens the depth and breadth of the domestic production of imported equipment, relying on its own technological and talent advantages, continuously following technological development trends, upgrading and iterating existing products, and continuously optimizing product performance.
Broad vision and focused action lead to steady progress and ultimate success.
